Great break

I'm having a great break from school. In fact, I'm having so much fun that I didn't get to write anything about it until just now, since things are calming down. For a long time, I've been interested in learning bookbinding, so the last time we went to the library, I checked out a couple of books on bookbinding and really loved one of them because it started with how to make instant books by folding and tearing a single sheet of paper. So at church today, I spent time in the library because the regular librarians weren't there and I know where everything is, so I filled in. The downside with the library at church is that it's pretty quiet while everyone else is in class.

I used my new skills to make a couple of books.

One of them is titled Sunday is for Reading and the other one is called Seek the result and is more artsy, but I like it better. They are unique and have become part of our private library's permanent collection.

Also, we have a huge-normous icicle (actually a whole bunch of them) hanging off our house and that's been fun to watch. We hope it grows.

Yesterday, we went snowshoeing for the first time this season. There was finally enough snow and I had enough time to go out. We went pretty far and had a great time stomping around outside together.

We rode the train up to Salt Lake and went to the planetarium. It was super awesome fun times.

We also decorated cookies (one of our family Christmas traditions) and I participated this year.

This one is my favorite that I did.

I thought the teddybear cookies looked kinda funny, so I made mine an astronaut teddy bear.

And that's our holiday in a very small nutshell. Emphasis on the "nut."

The Ninja Turtle

Max has taken to using the word "radical," which makes the grown-ups in the house laugh every time. I think that boy would be a good Ninja Turtle. He likes pizza, answers to "dude," and I'm pretty sure would flirt with a hot TV reporter in a yellow jumpsuit.
